Overview

Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is a robust web-conferencing tool that allows users to interact with each other through audio, video, and chat functionality.  Collaborate Ultra is available in all Blackboard course sites and can be access through the main room or scheduled sessions.  To see an overview of the Collaborate Ultra interface, watch this video walk-through of Collaborate Ultra's primary features.

Software Requirements

Collaborate Ultra opens right in your browser, so you don't have to install any software to join a session.  

Hardware Requirements

Moderators and Participants who want to speak during the session or be on camera, must have: 

  • A microphone (internal, headset, or integrated into USB webcam)
  • A camera (internal or USB webcam)
  • Speakers or a combination headset
