Attempt New Upload of "Stuck" Knowmia Video

On occasion, a video recording made with Knowmia may get "stuck" when uploading to your Knowmia library.  Fortunately, there is something you can try before you give up the recording as lost!  Important: Do not hit the Cancel button!

Finding the Temporary File on your Hard Drive

As long as you don't hit cancel, Knowmia stores your current recording in a temporary file on your machine. See the following instructions for locating the temporary file.

Re-Uploading the MP4 file

Once you have located the temporary file, you can try uploading it again.  If it still has issues uploading with the Cloud Recorder, you can try with the Classic Recorder, instead.

1.  Go to the Import Media and Organize Your Learning Content support page

2.  Look for the "Import Existing videos" section and follow instructions.  If this works, great!  If not, go to step 3.

3. If steps 1 and 2 do not work try the Classic Recorder method:

  1. Download and Install the Classic Recorder, if you haven't already.
  2. Open the Classic Recorder.
  3. Select the "Upload" option at the top (screenshot below) to send your video up to your Knowmia Library.
