Logging In To Your Blackboard Mobile Account

As of December 17, 2021, the Blackboard Mobile App will be using a new type of authentication.  This will not change any part of the app experience, but it will change some of the steps to log in, including that it will now require the use of the normal campus login system (same as used on the Blackboard web login, Office 365, or my.newpaltz.edu).  The steps below will walk you through the process of logging in with the new authentication.

2.  Logout fully OR uninstall, then reinstall the app (Note: if you are following these steps after December 17, 2021, you will probably be forced to login using the new process).

3.  Where it says, "Type your school/workspace name," type "SUNY New Paltz."  When the pop-up that says "SUNY New Paltz" appears below your typed text, select the pop-up box.

7.  You will now be prompted for MFA (Multifactor Authentication) via either Duo or Microsoft, depending on which system you are on.  If you would like your device to remember your login, check the box next to the text that says "Remember me for 30 Days" or "Don't ask again for 30 days" (depending on Duo or Microsoft).  Then, select the "Send Me a Push" button.
