The RHV virtual desktops have a desktop client named Remote Viewer. The name of the installer package is Virt Viewer. Remote Viewer is run from the VM Portal to connect to a virtual desktop.
Alternatively, there is an HTML5 client which runs in the web browser.
Software Installation Instructions:
Windows
- Go to the Console Client Resources page is at https://desktop.acsl.newpaltz.edu/ovirt-engine/rhv/client-resources.
- The Console Client Resources page has links for 32-bit and 64-bit msi installers of the Virt Viewer program. Choose the appropriate build for your computer and click on the link. The .msi installer file will be downloaded to your computer.
- Run the .msi installer file.
Mac
The current recommendation for Mac OS X users is to use the HTML5 client.
Linux
- You will have to find and install a Virt Viewer package for your Linux distribution (Fedoar, Mint, Ubuntu, etc.).
- There is also a USB redirection package named usbredir.
