Requesting an E-mail Alias

How to request an e-mail Alias

  1. Go to my.newpaltz.edu
  2. Login with your New Paltz username & password
  3. On the left side menu, click on "Information Technology Services"
  4. On the right side menu click on "Request E-mail Alias"
  5. Follow the prompts.

Note: Hawkmail aliases are only available for those students who still have their BannerID (something like N00110053) as their username.  If you have a newer style username that already contains all or part of your last name, and your first initial - then aliases aren't available for your account.
