Adding Ensemble Content to Blackboard: Using the Mashup Tool

Ensemble video content can be embedded in your Blackboard course right through your Blackboard course shell using the Ensemble mashup tool.

Jump to Text-Only Walk-Through

1.  Beginning in your Blackboard course, navigate to the section of the course where you want to add the video.  

2.  Next, from the horizontal ribbon, select the Build Content tab.

3.  From the menu that opens, select the Ensemble Video option in the Mashups section (see screenshot below for reference).

4.  The Ensemble mashup interface will default to either your sole or your primary media library; for additional libraries, you can use the drop-down arrow in the Library field to toggle.

5.  When you find the video you'd like to add, select the Choose option associated with the video (see screenshot below for reference).

6.  On the next screen, select Media Embed Options to see additional display options (see screenshot below for reference).

7.  In the dialog box that opens, select an appropriate size for display in Blackboard (560 x 315 is recommended) (see screenshot below for reference).  Then, select Save

8.  Finally, select Save again to complete the process (see screenshot below for reference).

Accessible Text-Only Walk-Through 

  1. Beginning in your Blackboard course, navigate to the section of the course where you want to add the video.  
  2. Next, select the Build Content tab.

  4. The Ensemble mashup interface will default to either your sole or your primary media library; for additional libraries, you can use the drop-down arrow in the Library field to toggle.
  5. When you find the video you'd like to add, select the Choose option associated with the video.  
  6. On the next screen, select Media Embed Options to see additional display options.
  7. In the dialog box that opens, select an appropriate size for display in Blackboard (560 by 315 is recommended).  Then, select Save.
  8. Finally, select Save again to complete the process.
