Job Description:
Computer Lab Proctors support students and faculty with their academic printing and basic software needs in multiple computer labs and classrooms across campus. Training is provided for all printer functions as well as IT management applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clear printer jams and errors
- Monitor and restock printers with paper and toner
- Deliver toner and paper, when needed
- Assist users with Papercut, Brightspace, my.newpaltz.edu, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Google Docs
- Perform 1st-level computer troubleshooting
- Manage printer and computer issue responses via IT ticketing system
- Maintain a quiet atmosphere for academic study
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience performed while enrolled in school
- Extensive familiarity with PCs, Microsoft products and basic experience with MACs
- Second semester freshmen, sophomore, and junior class standing
- Must be outgoing, reliable and fluent in English

Payrate:
As of June 30, 2026, the starting pay is $16.25/hour.
