Seeking second semester freshmen, sophomore, and junior student workers with work-study awards to add to a team of computer lab proctors. Must be available to work Mondays and Tuesdays from noon to 3:00pm.
A proctor is responsible for monitoring their assigned areas, restocking printer supplies (paper and toner), clearing printer jams and errors, and assisting users with basic questions about Papercut, MS Office programs, Brightspace, my.newpaltz.edu. Knowledge of Mac computers is helpful. Training is provided for printers and IT system programs. Proctors must also maintain a quiet atmosphere conducive for academic work in labs. Each proctor monitors printers in 1 to 5 buildings depending on time of day. Deliver printer supplies, as needed.
Applicants must be outgoing and possess good English skills. International students are not eligible for this position. The starting wage is $16.25/hour.
