Software Center and Installing Software

Software Center is a piece of software that is installed on admin-lan domain joined Windows computers and allows for users to install listed software without the need for media or for administrative rights.

To access software center please review the following steps

Open the windows start menu

the icon for the windows start menu

 

In the search box type in Software Center

using the windows start menu to find the software center application

 

Click on the Software Center icon, this will open up the Software Center library and put you in the Applications Section

Click on the desired Application and it will open up the installation window and click Install

When you click on install you will see the install status displayed
the installation process being visible in software center

 

Once the software has been installed it will no longer be listed in the applications list but will be visible in the Installation Status page

Please note that if an installation fails it should be visible in both he applications page and the installation status page
