Media Transfer Request

Transfer media from one format to another.

Authorized Users:

  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Faculty Emeritus

Request Process:

  • Fill out and submit request form
  • Wait for response (within 48 hours)
  • Submission of this form does not constitute a finalized request

Video is for SUNY New Paltz instruction or event Video is for personal use
Requester created the video or owns the intellectual property contained within Video is available for purchase or stream in the requested conversion format
Requester has written permission from copyright owner to transfer the video Requester does not have permission from copyright owner to transfer to a new medium

User Responsibility:

  • Provide IMS with source material
  • Know destination format
  • Be aware of possible copyright restraints regarding transferring medium of content

Requirements and Prerequisite:

  • If transferring content owned by someone else, you will need written consent from that party allowing you to do so
  • Only content used for SUNY New Paltz academics and special events may be transferred
