Request Training or Development

IT staff offer individualized or small group training and troubleshooting support to faculty and staff by appointment.  Areas of training and troubleshooting support range from course design and planning within the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) to training and troubleshooting support on the technical aspects of using and managing the Blackboard LMS.

    • Have two decades of combined experience working in and with the LMS

    • Work closely with our campus Blackboard hosts on updates and issues
  • Training and support covers all aspects of course design and planning in the LMS, as well as building technical skills and resolving issues.

Request Process:

  • Click the "Request Appointment" button on the right.
  • Completely fill out the form

User Responsibility:

  • All users are responsible for logging in to Blackboard with their own New Paltz User ID.
  • Attend group workshops whenever possible.

Requirements and Prerequisites:

  • Scheduling training and troubleshooting support is contingent upon the availability of IT staff.
  • Individual appointments for training may not be available during the first or last weeks of the semester when support issues are at a peak.

Hours of Availability:

  • Office is open Monday through Friday; 7:00am - 4:00pm (subject to holidays and closings).
  • Availability for appointments depends on the schedules of individual IT staff.

  • There is no fee for this service.
