Digital Signage - Add or Update Content

The Office of Communication and Marketing collaborates with Information Technology Services in the administration of the Campus Digital Signage. The signs consist of a digital display, controller hardware, and the signage software, and are managed by requesting departments/buildings/programs. OCM maintains templates for all signs and provides training on the use of the content management tools used to manage the signs.

Features and Benefits:

  • Digital signs display multi-media content that can be delivered in minutes to various locations.
  • OCM can put up content on screens across campus for major events.

Authorized Users:

  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Graduate/Teaching Assistants

Request Process:

  1. Use the Request Signage Update button on this page.
  2. Make your request at least one week in advance of when you want the content to show up.

User Responsibilities:

  • Keep in mind the distance most people view the screen from when designing your content.  Don't have paragraphs of small text - use large text for getting the word out only.
  • We strongly recommend that your content be in landscape instead of portrait format, due to the orientation of the screens.
  • Direct people to your department website or event website for more information or full details.
  • For best results, save static content (Word documents, Powerpoint, etc.) as PDF before sending over.

Requirements and Prerequisites:

  • Ability to create content in an application like Powerpoint or Adobe Reader

Hours of Availability:

  • The digital signage is on and visible in most buildings only during the normal opening hours of the building.
  • Requests for content additions/changes must be made in advance.

Customer costs:

  • There is no cost to place content on the sights.
