Uploading Content to Panopto

If you have already created a video or audio file in another program and have it saved to a storage device, you are able to quickly and easily upload it to Panopto.

Uploading Content to Panopto

1.  Go to newpaltz.edu/Panopto and login using your New Paltz username and password.  If this is your first time going to the site, it will automatically create your account when you login.

2.  Select the Create button at the top of the page.

3.  From the dropdown menu, select Upload Media.

4.  Drag file(s) to the box in the pop-up menu OR click the box to browse your hard drive and select the files.  Multiple files can be uploaded at one time, but for larger or longer files, it might be better to do one at a time or in small amounts.

5.  When you see that the file(s) has/have completed their upload, you can close the upload screen.

6.  Depending on the length of the video(s) there will be additional processing time, but, at this point, you can close the system and come back later to check that everything is fully processed.
