This article will cover how to access the self-service upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. This process can be completed either on-campus or while working remotely as long as there is a vpn connection in place to the campus utilizing the Admin-LAN campus issued profile
Click on the start menu
Type in software center

Click on software center and the program will open
Click on the tab that says Operating Systems

you should see an option for Win11 23H2 Upgrade with Update

Click on the Win11 23H2 option
Then you should click on the Install option – please note that this process will require a reboot and during the upgrade your system will be unavailable for work for 30 minutes to an hour. Please plan accordingly. If doing this on a laptop please make sure that your system is plugged in and charging

A warning will appear after you choose the install option and confirm that you want to install the upgrade and that it will take time during which your computer will be unavailable

Once install is clicked here the upgrade process has begun and will run until the computer reboots

During this process several task sequence boxes may appear on your screen as the process is completed until your computer reboots. These are completely normal and should not be closed otherwise the upgrade may fail.

After your computer finishes the reboot and update process you will be on Windows 11.
