Deleting Office 365 Exchange Account from IOS Mail App

Overview


The following are instructions on how to delete your Office 365 Exchange (Outlook) account from the iOS Native mail client (the mail app on iPhone/iPad).  

New Paltz only officially supports the Outlook Mobile application on mobile devices for both mail and calendar.

We have seen the use of Apple Mail & Calendar to cause erratic behavior that has caused issues for other users.

Steps to Take


  1. Go to your settings

  2. Go to “Mail”

  3. Find “Accounts”

  4. Your account should be listed under “Exchange.” Click on “Exchange.” (Ensure this the account setup for your .newpaltz.edu email address)

  5. Press “Delete Account.”

  6. Your account should now be deleted. You can confirm this by going back to your list of accounts.
