Find the MAC Address for your Device

Every device that supports the Ethernet network standard has a unique identifier called a "MAC address."  At SUNY New Paltz, game consoles; eBook readers; and various other media playing devices must be registered by MAC address in order to connect to a special wireless network named "NP Hawks DevNet."  MAC addresses consist of 12 characters which can be numbers or the letters A through F.  MAC addresses are often broken up into pairs using colons, for example: "01:23:45:67:89:AB" - every character is important, so make sure to copy it accurately.
