Hawksites

CampusPress is a blogging, website, and ePortfolio tool built on WordPress technology and geared towards educational purposes.  At SUNY New Paltz, we have branded our CampusPress instance as “Hawksites.”

Features and Benefits:

Authorized Users:

• Faculty
• Students
• Staff
• Campus approved student organizations

Request Process:

• Log in to the Hawksites landing page to get started: hawksites.newpaltz.edu

User Responsibility:

• All sites making use of campus branding must follow the official Identity Standards and Style Guide.  
• Sites that are inactive for more than one year will receive notice that they will be archived and removed from access.

• DMCA Copyright Infringement Policy
• Network User’s Agreement

Requirements and Prerequisites:

• Hawksites should be used for the purposes listed below; if you wish to use a Hawksite for a purpose not listed below, your request must be evaluated and approved by IT and Communications and Marketing staff:
  • Alternative LMS platform for courses or course blogs
  • Websites or blogs for Faculty Governance
  • Personal webpages (Faculty, Staff, Students)
  • Project oriented webpage
  • Student organization webpage
• You must have a valid New Paltz User ID (NPCUID) and password to log in to Hawksites.
• With permission, guest accounts may be created for users participating in community programs being run through SUNY New Paltz.

Hours of Availability:

• Hawksites is available 24 hours a day.

Customer costs:

• Hawksites is provided free of charge to authorized users.
