Videography Projects

Overview

The Office of Communication and Marketing provides limited videography support for strategic initiatives on campus. Video request are reviewed and support will be provided based on a number of factors including:

  • Alignment with strategic plan initiatives
  • Target audience
  • Subject (is this a story best told through video)

Features and Benefits:

  • Video content is an important tool in a modern communications toolkit. While it is exceptionally time and resource intensive, it can yield excellent outcomes if executed properly and promoted appropriately
  • Video content can be shared across many platforms, including websites, social media, and digital signage.

Authorized Users:

  • Faculty
  • Staff

Request Process:

  1. Video requests must be submitted at a minimum of 15 business days before principle shooting will begin. This is critical to allow for time to prepare scripts, order equipment, and manage logistics. Longer lead times for requests generally result in a better finished product, so please submit requests as soon as practical!
  2. Requestor or their designee will need to be in frequent contact with video producer for consultation during the pre-production, shooting, editing, and approval phases.
  3. All requests must be approved by requestor’s department chair/dean/director.

Hours of Availability:

  • Variable.

Customer costs:

  • Generally no costs are incurred by requesting department.
