VPAT Roadmap Submission

The SUNY New Paltz campus is committed to ensuring that the Electronic and Information Technology it creates, utilizes, or purchases in conducting its programs, services, and activities are accessible in accordance with applicable law (including Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended) and the SUNY Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Policy, which requires that all web based content adhere to the current WCAG version at level AA compliance. Consequently, the University requires that all EIT purchases are reviewed to determine if the technology can be used by persons with disabilities. If an item is not fully accessible to individuals with disabilities then the University needs to plan for workarounds or accommodations that may be necessary until the vendor has resolved accessibility issues.

SUNY New Paltz encourages its vendors to create fully accessible products, even though it may be a lengthy process.  This template is provided for vendors to document any accessibility issues with their product, and to indicate their plans for addressing these issues in future releases.

Failure to complete this form and/or the absence of notable progress in correcting issues by the end of your contract term, may prevent us from renewing a contract or purchasing future products.
