All students are assigned a New Paltz Computer Username which consists of up to the first seven characters of your last name, the first character of your first name plus a number (NOTE: some Alumni will have a BannerID (N number) for a username). Your New Paltz Username is required in order to access a variety of SUNY New Paltz technology resources, including:
- Brightspace (Digital Learning Environment)
- Computer Lab Access
- My.newpaltz.edu
- Printing and Wireless Printing
- Wired and Wireless Authentication for your devices
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Off-campus Library Database Access (including films on demand)
Note: as of July 4th, 2021 - you will need to use your <username> + @newpaltz.edu when logging into most campus services. For example, if your username is "hawk01" you would login with "hawk01@newpaltz.edu" whenever you see the login screen below. This is true even for alumni who no longer have email with the college.
