Emma Email Marketing - New Account

Overview

The Office of Communication and Marketing currently provides support for the use of mass email marketing services. The office provides branded templates, training on the use of the college’s mass email marketing tool, and limited support in the creation and sending emailing to groups.

Request Process:

  1. Department accounts must be created for any department that wishes to use the service after receipt of an official request (located at the top-right)
  2. After creation of a sub-agency account under the New Paltz umbrella account, OCM will consult with you to create a template for future mailings and install the template on your sub-agency account.
  3. OCM will provide training on the sending of your first mailing as part of a request for a new account.
  4. Subsequent mailings are the responsibility of the department/program coordinator.

User Responsibility:

  • After the creation of a sub-agency account, template creation, and initial email training, the account will be turned over to the requesting unit.
  • All mailings, including the writing of email copy, management of distribution lists, sending emails, and monitoring responses will be the responsibility of the requesting unit after the initial set-up period.

Requirements and Prerequisites:

  • Web version: Supported Browsers List
  • Training via OCM either online or in person.
  • Demonstrated need to send to a distribution list larger than 500 and/or emails that include images or other branded elements.

Hours of Availability:

  • This service is available 24/7 via an web-based interface.

Customer costs:

  • There is no fee for this service.
