Seeking second semester freshmen, sophomore, and junior student workers for Spring 2026 semester to fill computer lab proctor positions.
A proctor is responsible for monitoring their assigned areas, restocking printer supplies (paper and toner), clearing printer jams and errors, and assisting users with basic questions about Papercut, MS Office programs, Brightspace, and my.newpaltz.edu. Must be very familiar with PCs. Knowledge of Mac computers is helpful. Training is provided for printers and IT ticketing. Proctors must also maintain a quiet atmosphere conducive for academic work in labs. Each proctor monitors printers in 1 to 5 buildings depending on time of day. Deliver printer supplies, as needed.
Applicants must be outgoing and possess good English skills. International students are not eligible for this position because of Federal work study funding. The starting wage is $16.25/hour.
