Android: Using VDI for Android?

1.  Please Note: only proceed if you have already installed the VMware Horizon View Client following the steps in the article: "Android: How do I install an Android VDI Client?"


2.  From your home screen, tap on the icon for the VMware Horizon View Client.

3. On the next screen, tap the virtual desktop you would like to use.

4.  Enter your New Paltz username (NPCUID) and password; then, tap 'Connect'.

5,  When the desktop loads, you are in the virtual environment and you can navigate as you would any lab computer.


6.  Important: When you are working in the virtual environment ALL work MUST be saved to a USB drive or to cloud storage; any work not saved to an external source will be lost when you shut down.


7.  Important: When your virtual session is complete, you MUST go to the 'Start' menu and select 'Shut Down' to end your session.​​​​​​​
