Network Ports can be requested for anywhere a networkable device needs to be connected long term.
Card Readers are managed door access which is installed by Telecommunications and managed by the ID office.
The Security Camera system at SUNY New Paltz is meant as a deterrent to crime, as well as a detective tool in investigating incidents. They are used to protect our students, faculty, staff, and guests to the campus - as well as the physical assets of SUNY New Paltz.

Request Process:
- Faculty and staff who are responsible for an area can request network drops, card readers and cameras to be installed via this form.
- Telecommunications will evaluate the request, and provide any equipment, licensing, and installation costs to the requesting department.
- If the department authorization is required and/or UPD needs to authorize the installation, hardware can be ordered and installation can be scheduled.
