Add your profile image to Office 365

The instructions below are for the web version of Office 365.  If you use the Desktop version of Outlook - you can still use these instructions to set your profile image - just login to the web version first.  The settings will go into effect for your account regardless of which method you use to access your mail.

  1. Log in to your Office 365 email account.  Once there, select the box at the top right.  If you've never set a profile image - it will be your initials (it's indicated by 1 in the screenshot below).  In the example below - it is just a "HH" for the Hugo Hawk test user.  If you have previously set a profile image you want to update, you'll do so here

  2. A larger view of those initials (or a pre-existing profile image you want to change) will come up.  If you hover over it - you'll see a camera icon come up.  Click on that.

  3. Click Upload a new photo, then navigate to a suitable image on your computer.  You will have an option to recenter or zoom in/out in the image as shown in the example below.

  4. Click Apply when done.
  5. You now have your profile image updated.  Any Office 365 users at New Paltz will see your picture when you email them, or if they email you.  The image may show when emailing other Office 365 users outside of New Paltz as well.

Special Note: If you are trying to set this image on a shared account, such as one for your department, you are unable to set the image yourself and the Office 365 Administrators at New Paltz must do this for you.
To request this:

  1. Go to the Office 365 Shared Email Accounts page
  2. Select "https://newpaltz.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1905/Portal/Requests/TicketRequests/NewForm?ID=dpnDVrVbTns_&RequestorType=Service"
  3. Choose Shared (Department) email account then Request changes to an existing shared email account

We'll write back to you then asking for the file (since as of now that form does not take attachments).
