Windows: Install a Windows VDI Client?

  1. Go to vdi.newpaltz.edu.
     
  2. Select  'Install VMware Horizon View Client'.

  3. On the downloads page, find your operating system and select 'Go to Downloads'.

  4. On the next screen, select 'Download'.

  5. When the VMware Horizon View Client Setup Wizard opens, select 'Next'.

  6. On the next screen, check the box to accept the 'End-User License Agreement'.

  7. On the 'Custom Setup' screen, make sure 'USB Redirection' is enabled and then DESELECT 'Log in as current user'.

  8. On the 'Default Server' screen, enter 'vdi.newpaltz.edu' and then select 'Next'.

  9. On the 'Configure Shortcuts' screen, select any desired options; then, select 'Next'.

  10. On the 'Ready to install VMware Horizon Client' screen, select 'Install'.

  11. Once your VMware Client is installed you can begin using it.  To view instructions for use, please read the Using VDI for Windows article.
