General

Computer Labs

  • Open Labs are computer labs that are not normally scheduled for classes and provide access to general software.
  • Department Labs are computer labs that are scheduled for classes and provide access to general software as well as discipline specific software.
  • LabFind is a free mobile app that shows where specific software, hardware and available computers are located in open labs, how to get to labs and when they're open.
  • Print Quota
  • Linux Accounts provides access our Linux-based Workstations, servers and other services.

Online Resources

  • Blackboard is our learning management system on campus. This provides a place that instructors can electronically distribute and collect course materials, keep grades, and give tests.
  • Google Apps access is automatically included with every Hawkmail account.
  • Hawksites is our campus' customized version of Word Press for personal websites and blogs.
  • Office 365 provides access to the on and offline version of Microsoft Office.
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure provides access to a fully configured workstation environment as well as specific software from both on and off campus.
  • Knowmia: Video creation and sharing platform.

Remote Learning

  • Student Online Learning Orientation (This orientation is a deep link to a Blackboard Course. You must be logged into Blackboard before clicking this link). New Paltz offers an online learning platform, Blackboard, as well as a number of useful instructional technology tools for you to use in your online learning experience.
  • Resources for Remote Learning & Working - A growing resource of guidance and support for IT and Instructional Technology support needs.
  • Remote Planning -  Many remote services offered by the campus.
